The short version

  • ✓ Use ClearNews to read and learn — not to scrape, resell, or train competing models.
  • ✓ Our AI analysis is a tool, not gospel. Treat it as a starting point, not the final word.
  • ✓ Pro is billed monthly or annually. You can cancel anytime in Settings.
  • ✓ Be respectful: no abuse, no illegal use, no attempts to break the Service.

These Terms govern your use of ClearNews (the "Service"), provided by Cavin Capital Group, LLC ("we", "us"), a limited liability company operating ClearNews. By using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

ClearNews aggregates publicly available news and provides AI-generated analysis (accuracy scores, bias indicators, claim breakdowns, missing context). All analysis is computer-generated and may be inaccurate; you are responsible for verifying information with primary sources.

2. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • Use the Service for unlawful purposes, fraud, or spam.
  • Infringe intellectual property rights.
  • Probe, scan, scrape, or interfere with the Service or its security.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or resell the Service.

3. Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information.

4. Intellectual Property

We retain all rights in the Service, including software, branding, and AI-generated analysis. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within your plan.

5. AI Output Disclosure

AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not suitable for use as professional, legal, financial, or medical advice without independent verification. We reserve the right to moderate, filter, or remove outputs.

6. Subscriptions, Billing & Refunds

ClearNews Pro is offered on a monthly or annual subscription and starts with a 7-day free trial. Payments are processed securely by our payment processor, Stripe. Applicable taxes are calculated at checkout. You can cancel anytime from the Settings page; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.

7. Service Availability

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.

8. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is capped at the fees paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we are established. Disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
